Since its opening in 1955, Disneyland’s theme parks have become
world famous. Disneyland Los Angeles encompasses a very impressive
80 acre area and hosts some spectacular shows and attractions. Be
sure to take a camera, as there are some truly spectacular scenes.
The most popular section is undoubtedly the Magic Kingdom and is
often dubbed “Happiest Place on Earth”. The park itself
is sub-divided into eight separately themed “lands”,
all of which run extremely smoothly. The gates open onto the shop-lined
Main Street USA which in turn leads to the centre of the park at
Sleeping Beauty Castle. Here kids and adults alike enjoy the tropically
inspired Adventureland which boasts the famous Indiana Jones roller
coaster ride. Equally enjoyable is Frontierland which is based on
a wild-west type theme. Fantasyland and Mickey’s Toontown are
the preferred places for the smaller children as they are more cartoon
orientated. The Haunted Mansion, which is not for the faint-hearted,
is located in New Orleans Square while the California Adventure pays
homage to the Golden State’s unique character.
Although the above list often proves to be very popular, it must
be noted that this is only a fraction of what is actually to do and
see. It is advised to plan your trip to this magical place in advance
in order to get the most out of it and as always, bring your camera
to store those precious memories. |
